Christian McCaffrey was named a first-team All-Pro last season, and the Carolina Panthers are reportedly rewarding his on-field prowess. As reported by ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter, McCaffrey has agreed to a four-year extension with the Panthers worth $64M, a deal that sees McCaffrey become the NFL’s highest-paid running back.

McCaffrey posted only the third season attaining 1,000 rushing and receiving yards in NFL history last season, joining Marshall Faulk and Roger Craig.
Securing McCaffrey’s services for the next four seasons provides key stability for the Panthers, whose organization has been revamped during this offseason period. Former Baylor coach Matt Rhule has been tapped as the Head Coach for Carolina going forward. Carolina’s offense will also see a change under-center as Teddy Bridgewater will be heading the team next season, with the Panthers also parting ways with longtime QB and former league MVP Cam Newton recently.
