Chris Bosh Will Sign With Houston If LeBron James Leaves Miami
LeBron James had a meeting with Pat Riley in Las Vegas tonight and has reportedly not made a final decision on whether or not to re-sign with the Miami Heat. A return to the Cleveland Cavaliers has become as close to a realistic possibility as ever before, it being understood that he would only leave Miami for Cleveland at this point.
With James’ decision still pending, sources via Chris Broussard and Brian Windhorst of ESPN say that his teammate Chris Bosh will sign with the Houston Rockets if LeBron does decide to leave South Beach. The Rockets recently made a four-year max offer to Bosh, who has been their planned contingency if they couldn’t reel in Carmelo Anthony or LeBron James.
Houston may have just lost out on Chandler Parsons if they choose not to match the Mavericks’ offer sheet. For them to improve it’s about landing Bosh — a clear-cut, much needed power forward, or another free agent who could fulfill their other needed presence on the wing. Houston has also inquired about Paul Pierce, Trevor Ariza, and Luol Deng. They need to close in on someone to not come out as the loser of this free agency.
