We have another team showing Ray Allen some love. But not fully like the previous teams.
According to ESPN.com, the Chicago Bulls have contacted Ray Allen’s representatives, just to “touch base” with the GOAT 3-Point shooter.
On paper, they have one of the deepest teams in the league and fully expect to contend for a championship behind Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah — a fact they’ll surely sell to Allen’s reps.
Another key selling point for the Bulls is Allen’s relationship with coach Tom Thibodeau. Allen won a championship with the Boston Celtics in 2008 while Thibodeau was an assistant on Doc Rivers’ staff.
I reiterate. Ray Allen doesn’t even know whether he’ll play in the league once again. So at the moment this is just speculation. All this interest could mean jack all if Ray Allen ends up retiring.
