These past two days have been full of news in the world of streaming content. NBC announced its new streaming service, Netflix stock rose and TBS announced the second season of The Last O.G. with a star studded cast. CBS is here to throw some more news our way. In a recent announcement, CBS has revealed the premiere date for not two, but three new series coming this Spring.
Leading the way, The Red Line will premiere on April 28th at 8 p.m. Produced by Ava DuVernay, The Red Line will follow the stories of three Chicago families in the wake of a Black doctor being shot by a white police officer. Noriko Kelley of CBS Entertainment described the series by saying, “The Red Line is a serialized drama with compelling characters and provocative themes that we expect viewers will want to watch more than one hour per week, so we wanted to ‘event-ize’ it and try something unique with two hour blocks over four weeks.”
In addition to The Red Line, CBS announced that The Code will premiere on April 9th at 9 p.m. and Ransom will return on Saturday, February 16th at 8 p.m.
