A game in Brooklyn between the Cavs and Nets may not have gotten a lot of attention a few months ago but immediately became the center of all basketball eyes tonight.
Between the arrival of the Royal Family in Brooklyn, players wearing “I Can’t Breathe” shirts to honor the memory of Eric Garner and pay respect to the family and fans outside of Barclays Center protesting, this game got a lot more interesting.
LeBron James said the following.
LeBron James said t-shirts are to acknowledge the family but added: "We have to be better for one another no matter what race you are."

When NBA Commisioner Adam Silver, who is in attendance in Brookyln, was asked about the shirts, this is what he had to say to Yahoo! Sports Adrian Wojnarowski.

Outside of Barclays Center fans took to the streets to protest the decision by the grand jury to not indict the police officer responsible for the death of Eric Garner.
A lot of things going on outside of the game, and everyone has to love these players and people alike taking this avenue to express how they feel about certain things.
