Jimmy Butler had 18 points with 5 rebounds, Mike Dunleavy scored 14 with 5 rebounds, and Taj Gibson came off the bench and finished with 11 points, 10 rebounds and an impressive 6 blocked shots.
Deron Williams led Brooklyn with 17 points 5 assists and 2 rebounds. Kevin Garnett scored 13 points, with 7 rebounds and Alan Anderson had 12. Jerome Jordan came off the bench for 10 points and 6 rebounds.
The Nets played without forward Mirza Teletovic, who was sidelined by a right hip problem. Joe Johnson who is under the weather and Brook Lopez with a lower back strain, each missed their second straight game.
The reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Joakim Noah and rookie Doug McDermott missed the game for Chicago. Noah has a sprained right ankle, and McDermott has been sidelined by a sore right knee.
