Arizona Cardinals star safety Budda Baker reportedly requested a trade or a new deal from the team back in February. According to the report, Baker wanted the new deal to make him the highest-paid safety in the NFL right now. With this information now coming to light, it could mean that either Baker, Arizona, or both could be ready to explore the potential trade options with other NFL teams. If he does hit the trade market, there will likely be several other teams intereted in adding the star safety for the right price.

This past season with the Arizona Cardinals, Budda Baker recorded 75 solo tackles, 111 total tackles, one forced fumble, seven passes defended, and two interceptions that he returned for 54 yards and zero touchdowns. Baker was selected by the Arizona Cardinals as the 36th overall selection in the 2017 NFL Draft. He has spent his entire career in the NFL with the Arizona Cardinals. In that time he has been named to five Pro Bowls and has been named as an NFL All-Pro two times. Baker has been one of the best, if not the best safeties in the NFL since being drafted into professional football.
