Out of all the head coaching vacancies still open across the association, maybe none is as enticing as the Milwaukee Bucks job. With an elite talent already rostered in the weaker Eastern conference, it appears a good coach is the only thing standing between this team and a deep playoff run is a good head coach.
The Bucks clearly know this as they are putting in most of their efforts this offseason towards finding the right person for the job. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, there’s no shortage of candidates the Bucks have interest in as their list encompasses big names such as Mike Budenholzer, David Blatt, and more.
Sources: Milwaukee embarking on a coaching search with a list of candidates that includes several former head coaches: Steve Clifford, Mike Budenholzer, Monty Williams, David Fizdale and David Blatt. Bucks plan to interview those coaches — and possibly several more.

Of the names listed by Wojnarowski, the only non-plausible option is David Fizdale who was just named the New York Knicks head coach recently. Other than that, each candidate has it’s particular skill set that they bring to the table.
The list is loaded with worthy and proven coaching candidates which is exactly what the Bucks currently need. With a relatively young roster seeking continuity and a true identity, an experienced coach is an important requirement.
Of the list, Mike Budenholzer has enjoyed the most success, leading an overachieving Atlanta Hawks team deep into the playoffs on multiple occasions. Williams, Clifford, and Blatt have also had plenty of success with their respective teams, making for an intriguing job search in Milwaukee.
