Despite the explosion of technology, it’s easy to get wrapped up in your own bubble. As Americans, we typically stick with the music that is popular closest to us. However, every so often an artist pops the bubble and breaks through. This time around, it isn’t just one artist, but rather its a group of artists.
Shining in the U.S. yet again, K-Pop sensation BTS performed “Dynamite” at the 2020 Video Music Awards. Stealing the show, the group’s choreography and vocals were as on point as they would be for a live performance in front of fans.
In addition to taking the virtual stage at this year’s ceremony, the group also took home a few virtual awards. BTS has won “Best Group” and “Best Pop” honors. They also took home the moon person for “Best K-Pop” video. Still up for a few more awards, keep checking our winner’s list to see how many categories they can reign supreme in. While we wait for the results, check out their performance of “Dynamite” above.
