Head Coach Mack Brown has announced that senior running back British Brooks will return for the 2023 college football season. The projected starting running back for the 2022 season went down with a season-ending injury before the season began. He has decided to use his last year of eligibility and play next year for the North Carolina Tar Heels. There have been several running backs that have stepped up in his place and his role next season is undetermined at this time. With the season in full swing, that question will likely not be answered until at least the Spring.

Last season as a backup running back for the North Carolina Tar Heels, British Brooks rushed the ball 31 times for 295 yards and four touchdowns. It was by far his best year and best role as a member of the team. Heading into the 2022 season he was projected to be the starter, but that lower body injury derailed those plans. Next year he will use his final year of eligibility with North Carolina and finish his dedicated career with Mack Brown and the program.
