Former NFL Quarterback Brett Favre took to social media on Monday to call for a boycott of FOX News amid the Tucker Carlson exit. The former Atlanta Falcons, Green Bay Packers, New York Jets, and Minnesota Vikings quarterback has been in the news often this year for his alleged involvement in a Mississippi Welfare scandal. Favre has denied all allegations in the case and has filed defamation lawsuits himself against people over the scandal. Fox News parted ways with Tucker Carlson two weeks ago after the company settled a defamation lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems.
I’m with Tucker. Time to boycott Fox until they come to their senses and let the man speak. pic.twitter.com/dvrNlLdvgW

According to a report from Axios, Tucker Carlson was readying his allies to attack his former employers after he was no longer with the news company. It is unclear if the Brett Favre declaration is a part of that and he could just be speaking his own mind on Twitter. Regardless this story is likely to continue to develop as Carlson’s show was one of the most viewed shows that FOX News or any of cable TV had. The Fox News contract with Tucker Carlson was not set to expire until January of 2025 according to soucres famialr with the deal.
