Brown served as an assistant under Gregg Popovich with the San Antonio Spurs from 2002-2013, when he was named as the head coach of the Sixers. During his tenure, the Philadelphia 76ers underwent their rebuilding “Process”, building their team around the young core of Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons.
In his seven seasons in charge of the Sixers, Brown compiled a regular season record of 221-344, including three appearances in the playoffs, but never progressing past the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Brown is also the current head coach of the Australian National Team, taking that role in November 2019.
