2K curse? It’s not far off from it. Oklahoma City’s perennial captain Kevin Durant is going to have surgery of his fractured foot and will be out a minimum of 6-8 weeks. ESPN has the official release.
The NBA’s reigning MVP has been diagnosed with a Jones fracture in his right foot.
The team announced Durant’s injury in a press release, noting that this type of injury usually requires surgery and 6 to 8 weeks of recovery.
“We are in the process of collaboratively evaluating the most appropriate next steps with Kevin, his representatives, and Thunder medical personnel,” general manager Sam Presti said in a statement. “Until a course of action is determined, we are unable to provide a timeline specific to Kevin’s case.“
This has made the start of the NBA season even more interesting! What will Scott Brooks do without his main man. As I keep saying Brooks doesn’t have an offense other that a Durant isolation and a Westbrook/Ibaka pick & roll.
It’ll be interesting to watch the Thunder work without KD. Their preseason suddenly has meaning.
