Big Sean has taken another step forward by partnering with the Detroit Pistons. Yesterday, the Detroit native announced that he is now the creative director of innovation for the Detroit Pistons. In this role, the Grammy nominee will design merchandise and help create community initiatives for the franchise.
“[This is] unreal! I’m the creative director of the Detroit Pistons,” Big Sean said.
“[I’ve] got an office in the facility [and] everything. Growing up, I knew [that] I either wanted to rap or hoop for the Pistons. [It’s] crazy how life works. I look forward to creatively adding what I can to this iconic franchise.”
In addition, he will also curate in-game music for the team, work with DJs and help out with halftime performances. Not to mention, he’s also looking for an intern to help out.
“I look forward to creatively finding new ways to contribute to their legacy and continue their dedication to the community through sports, art, and, of course, music,” he added.
Sean and the Pistons will return to the court on December 26 to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
