Big K.R.I.T has returned with his fifth studio LP, Digital Roses Don’t Die. Three years in the making, the 17-track project arrives with a singular feature from Rolynné. Behind the boards, the LP also includes production from The Mad Violinist, DJ Camper and of course, Big K.R.I.T
Big K.R.I.T set the stage for his latest album by delivering “So Cool” back in late January. Accompanied by a star studded visual that included Akeem Ali and Karlous Miller, the smooth, yet funky concept record reintroduced the Mississippi native. While the single was more playful in sound than lyrical, Big K.R.I.T still delivered more than his fair share of slick bars.
“On the phone with the lender and I’m livid/If the bank had a cap, I would peel it,” he raps.
Not long thereafter, he followed up by dropping “Southside To The Moon” with DJ Camper. Tapping into his vocal range, Big K.R.I.T melodically raps about living the high life and chasing beautiful women, but never truly being satisfied.
“I’m from 300, she from 106 and 4th/BET Uncut, I used to see her in the dark/She had gold chains, banger earrings and some gold rings/Coulda killed me softly, but she let her soul sing,” he raps.
Big K.R.I.T not only delivered a new album tonight, but he also plans to head out on tour. Beginning April 23, the Mississippi will head out on tour with Price and Elhae. Grab your tickets and check out the album below.
