President Joe Biden has come to the defense of his closest colleague, Kamala Harris. During a recent interview with Stephanie Ruhle, the President was asked about the Vice President’s ability to be a viable candidate within the Democratic Party in the future. In response, Biden outlined her resumé and said that she is “very, very good” at her job.
“I just think that Vice President Harris hasn’t gotten the credit that she deserves,” Biden told MSNBC’s Rhule on Friday.
“She was attorney general of the state of California. She has been a United States senator. She is really very, very good.”
The President didn’t stop there. He later added that he feel that the Vice President hasn’t gotten “the attention that she deserves.”
“With everything going on, she hasn’t gotten the attention that she deserves,” Biden added.
Biden’s come as he announces that he is delivering the keynote commencement address at Howard University, Harris’s alma mater.
“In a few weeks, I’ll be headed to your home turf for commencement,” the President joked with Harris.
“You’re going to get stuck with me being your commencement speaker.”
