Future is preparing to enter the cannabis industry in May. The Atlanta native has partnered with a branding and licensing company by the name of Carma HoldCo to launch a line of cannabis products called EVOL. Named after his fourth studio album, the brand will reportedly offer CBD, Delta-8 THC and Delta-9 THC products to medical patients and adult-use consumers in California.
“Future is one of this generation’s most prolific, influential artists,” Carma HoldCo Chairman Chad Bronstein told Billboard.
“His drive, creativity, and vision, in partnership with Carma HoldCo, will create experiences that will inspire consumers and further establish us as the new global leader in branding and licensing.”
Future continues to grow his business portfolio. In 2011, he partnered with Epic Records to launch his own recording imprint called Freebandz. He has also worked alongside a number of apparel brands, including Reebok and Nike. Now, EVOL takes him into the growing cannabis industry.
“As an artist, I strive to enlighten the world with different perspectives and experiences, whether through my lyrics, live performances, or other creative endeavors,” Future told Billboard.
“With Carma HoldCo, I can apply that creativity to build a new cannabis lifestyle brand that resonates within my community and delivers a high-quality product to my fans and a much wider audience.”
