Griselda still has no intention of slowing down. Benny the Butcher took to social media to announce that the music video for his latest song Did I and the visuals are now here.
The song, produced by Fuse of 808 Mafia and Black Metaphor, offer a very melancholy beat, that allows you to self reflect. While the instrumental falls outside of the traditional Griselda sound, it still sets the tone for his motivational bars.
The Buffalo rapper comes on the track detailing his early years dealing drugs, attempting to feed his family.
“Did I” marks his first solo release of the year. It follows his feature on the cocaine-themed “Scrape the Bowl” by Boldy James.
From the jump, he isn’t holding back. Benny rhymes, “I bought my daughters flights to Cali just to keep ’em out the cold/ You sell dope to feed your family, they gone treat you like you stole/ I took voluntary trips, I was proud of every brick/ For my n*ggas fighting’ them cases, dropping commissary slips/”
