Griselda is back at it! This year, the New York collective has been as active as ever. In January, Griselda teamed up with the Black Soprano Family for the soundtrack to their film, Conflicted. Two months later, Benny The Butcher linked up with Harry Fraud for The Plugs I Met II. More recently, Conway The Machine dropped his latest project, La Maquina. Now, Benny The Butcher has teamed up with 38 Spesh for a joint album called Trust The Sopranos.
Trust The Sopranos features ten tracks including “Immunity” and “Spineless” featuring Ransom. Throughout the project, Rick Hyde, Heem, Che Noir, Ampichino and Chase Fetti are also featured. With this project and those moving forward, Benny The Butcher hopes to provide a platform for his Black Soprano artists.
“I show ’em the ropes. Cause everything you just said is what I’ve done. I can only speak about what I know, and that’s how I build my fanbase up, nice and slow,” Benny The Butcher said about his work with Black Soprano imprint.
“So just show ’em the ropes, show ’em how to network, who they need to be talking to, show ’em how to be an artist, how to be impressionable. Just lead by example. The output of music you should be having, how many times you drop a year. Just the connection you should have with people in this industry.”
