Ben Simmons, freshman phenom out of LSU and potential top pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, appears to be drawing close to making a landmark deal in his career.
He has not been selected to a team in the NBA, he hasn’t played a single minute in the NBA but he’s still one of the most sought after rookie shoe deal players possibly since LeBron James. There appeared to be a back and forth between Simmons deciding whether it would be Nike or Adidas and Simmons even was seen wearing Yeezy Boosts to NBA games, possibly hinting to his choice. His decision was also reportedly heavily dependent on where the Lakers fell in the 2016 NBA Draft Lottery.
Now it appears that after a drawn out process, Simmons will join his fellow Klutch Sports partner in LeBron James and sign with Nike.

LSU freshman Ben Simmons – the possible top pick in the 2016 NBA draft – is nearing an agreement on a multiyear deal with Nike, sources told The Vertical.
Simmons is choosing Nike’s offer over one from adidas, sources said, after Nike increased its proposal for Simmons.
Simmons’ deal is believed to be one of the largest rookie deals for Nike, but not close to the deals signed by LeBron James and Kevin Durant.
