‘Bad Boys, Bad Boys, What you gonna do? What you gonna do when they come for you?’
I catch myself singing the jingle all the time and it’s because it is easily one of the my favourite movie franchises of all time. I’m not the only one. Fans of Will Smith & Martin Lawrence were excited when they found out the duo will return for a 3rd instalment to the Bad Boys franchise. The original Bad Boys was released in 1995 and the sequel followed up 8 years later. Now, 17 years later, the trilogy will be complete.
With the movie slated for a 2020 release date, production has begun and we can finally see what we can expect from the 3rd instalment.Per Production Weekly:
The new installment centers on the Miami PD and its elite AMMO team’s attempt to take down Armando Armas (Scipio), head of a drug cartel. Armando is a cold-blooded killer with a vicious, taunting nature. He is committed to the work of the cartel and is dispatched by his mother to kill Mike (Smith). Nuñez will take on the role of Rite, the tough and funny criminal psychologist who is the newly appointed head of AMMO and Mike’s former girlfriend- and the one who got away.
Riverdale star Paola Núñez will play the role of Will Smith’s former girlfriend and it will be interesting to see how Smith and Lawrence’s on-camera chemistry is after a 17 year hiatus.
