Fab 5 Freddy is known as one of the architects of Hip-Hop. As the culture he has helped build nears its 50th anniversary, the New York native has pivoted to become an architect in the legalized cannabis industry. The all-around creative has teamed up with Curaleaf to develop B NOBLE, a high-quality, Black-owned cannabis brand.
“The brand is dedicated to telling the story of its namesake, Bernard Noble, who was arrested in Louisiana and sentenced to 13 years in prison for possessing the equivalent of two joints. In 2017, Bernard’s case began to draw attention across the country, and he quickly became a national symbol for the need to reform the country’s unjust drug laws, sparking advocacy and a movement to free him,” the brand’s description reads.
“As a result, Bernard was released seven years into his sentence and his story was featured prominently in Fab 5 Freddy’s 2018 documentary, Grass Is Greener.”
Thus far, B NOBLE has achieved great success and entered into nearly a dozen states. This summer, B NOBLE has announced that it will enter into the adult-use market in the state of New Jersey. Consumers across the Garden State will be able to get their hands on the brand’s signature two-pack pre-rolls. Each pack is offered in the following strains: Azazel (Sativa), Bittersweet (Hybrid) and Apple Sundae (Indica).
