Not long after Nas shared the highly anticipated follow-up to King’s Disease, AZ returned to announce that his next album, Doe or Die 2, is on the way. The project is set to feature Lil’ Wayne, Conway The Machine, Rick Ross, Jaheim, Dave East and T-Pain. Behind the boards, AZ has enlisted Bink, A One Beats, Pete Rock and The Alchemist for production. Not to mention, there’s a feature from actor and DJ Idris Elba listed.
Previewing the album, AZ delivered “The Jewel” with Jaheim on Saturday. Much like his appearance on King’s Disease in 2020, AZ shows that he has not lost a step. Cutting through production from Kay Gee and Eric Hall, his iconic flow shines through.
“From crack flips to now rap sh*t, it’s just hustlin’/Follow suit, find a circle and alley-oop/And you too could hop in Ferraris and Audi coupes/King status, built from dreams, it seem lavish/But anything attached to a fiend can bring madness,” he raps.
Celebrating the original’s 25th anniversary, Doe or Die 2 will drop on September 10. Check out the tracklist below.
