In a world where bad things continue to happen day after day, it is hard for anyone to willing let their guard down. However, leaving ourselves open to pain and deceit comes with the possibility of falling in love. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully select who you let into your inner circle. Unfortunately, no matter how careful we are, there will always be moments where someone is let inside and they abuse that privilege. In the aftermath, there are feelings of pain, embarrassment and much more. The latest single from rising alt-pop star Au/Ra explores all of these feelings and much more.
“Bite Marks” is a collaborative effort between Au/Ra and CJ Baran. The two met for the first time in Los Angeles and instantly cliqued. The outcome of their growing bond was this incredible single. Months later, Au/Ra took things into her own hands and shot the video in her home country of Antigua.
“‘Bite Marks’ is about letting someone into your life knowing they could hurt you – that fear becoming reality, and feeling stupid for letting it happen. It’s about playing the fool, knowingly, and having to grow and live with the bite marks that leaves behind,” Au/Ra said about her new single.
