After recently getting a commitment from five-star Moussa Cisse Penny Hardaway is back at it again securing 2022 guard Arterio Morris. Morris is a five-star guard and top 25 recruit in the 2022 class. He’s seen as a top-five combo guard in his class and should he keep his commitment be a nice backcourt piece for Hardaway to use and teach.
Hardaway has recruited well since he took over including when he secured the number one class in 2019. Commitments this far out don’t always last but if this one does, Hardway gets another top-flight guard adding to the recently rich history of Memphis guards.

Morris is from Dallas and hard offers from nearly all the top Texas schools, Oregon, Kansas, before choosing Memphis. Combo guards have become more and more prevalent in the college game with lots of schools moving to two-point guard systems. Memphis had someone like Boogie Ellis last year who came in as a combo guard as well. Hardaway should have no problems finding a way to use Morris when he steps on campus.
