Terry Crews has been announced as the new host of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
The actor will make his first host appearance of the show on Monday, September 8.
The new season of the show will introduce the ‘Plus One’ option, where the contestant’s friend can come out of the audience to help them answer a question.
Crews spoke out about his casting back in May when the news was announced saying:
“In addition to my film projects including Blended, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and now being a first time author, hosting has always been a dream of mine, and I couldn’t have asked for a greater opportunity.
Crews is replacing Cedric the Entertainer, who hosted the show for the 2013-2014 season, following Meridith Vieira who stayed on for 11 seasons.
