
Los Angeles Lakers fans were worried after seeing Anthony Davis leave a preseason game against the Brooklyn Nets with a thumb injury. He played 12 minutes on Saturday when the team loss 77-91 to the Nets in China. Initial reports said Davis had a Grade 1 sprain on his right thumb.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN, Davis underwent an MRI on Monday to confirm the severity of his thumb injury and, luckily, the results came clean.

Chris Haynes from Yahoo Sports reported that Davis and LeBron James will sit out Monday preseason game against the Golden State Warriors in the Staples Center. The team still has two more preseason games, both against the Warriors, before the season start and they play their opening season game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

If the LeBron and the Lakers want to make a run to win the championship they’ll need their two superstars to remain healthy for almost the entire season and the playoffs. Any injury to them or the vital role players in the team could limit their possibilities to win the championship.
