
After a year long hiatus, Aminé, is back with new music. Yesterday, he teased fans with a short video clip that featured him climbing down from the side of a mountain as he raps, “It’s been a whole year.” He then captioned the ominous clip with the words, “new music tomorrow.” Today, he followed through on his promise.
After teasing fans yesterday, Aminé has released a new song called “Shimmy.” On his latest single, the Oregon native pays homage to Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s “Shimmy Shimmy Ya.” Throughout the new video, he takes us through Portland landmarks such as Providence Park and Alberta Street.
“I’m here to f*ck up your whole career, my n*gga/Don’t play dumb, dummy, you know what’s the deal, my n*gga,” he raps.
“A lot of y’all fake flexing, n*gga, that is not your necklace/And that whip ain’t yours, n*gga, that’s the IRS’s/I’m bigger than Texas, me and God text message/Y’all see how easy lyin’ is, it’s easy to forget this,” he adds.
