Amazon Music will continue to celebrate the 50th anniversary of this thing called Hip-Hop with another set of City Sessions at Pier 17 in New York, New York. This Friday, the recurring music series will bring Wale, Curren$y and Brooklyn’s own Joey Bada$$ to the stage. One week later, the series will continue with performances from Rick Ross and the Clipse.
“With the 50th anniversary of hip-hop fast approaching, ’50 & Forever’ — the celebration of hip-hop’s 50th anniversary from Amazon Music—will bring fans around the globe together for a series of live streams on the Amazon Music channel on Twitch dedicated to the genre’s legacy and influence,” a press statement from Amazon and the Rooftop at Pier 17 reads.
Tickets for the live music series are currently listed for as little as $10 each. More dates for the Amazon Music series will arrive in the days to come. In the meantime, Amazon Music will turn its attention to Miami, Florida where Rolling Loud is set to return this weekend. The tech music platform is set to live stream all three days of the music festival on Prime Video. With a Prime Video subscription, subscribers can watch A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott and Anuel AA for free.
“We are excited to team up with Amazon Music to bring Rolling Loud Miami to the masses,” Rolling Loud Festival co-founders Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif said.
“Miami is our flagship festival and hip-hop’s biggest stage, and with the help of Amazon Music, we can show millions of people what Rolling Loud is all about.”
