It’s hard to believe, but it’s been an entire three years since Alessia Cara dropped her debut studio album, Know-It-All. The 2015 project from the New York-based Pop star came complete with ten new tracks including singles like “Here”, “Four Pink Walls” and “Scars To Your Beautiful”. Since dropping her debut project, Cara has linked up with other artists like Logic, Khalid and Kyle. Not to mention, she’s touched the stage at the VMAs, earned Platinum plaques and brought home a Grammy. At a young age of twenty-two, Cara has accomplished before 25 what most people struggle to achieve their entire career.
Having proven herself as a new act, Cara is here to enter into the next phase of her young career. After a three year layoff, she is back with her sophomore studio album, The Pains of Growing. The new project from the young pop star comes complete with fifteen tracks that have no features. As described in a recent sit down leading up to the album, the new project displays a “nuance and mentality of what it’s like to age out of your teen years”. Similar to her first project, Cara steps into her own as she enters into a new phase of life.
