There is something in the water in the DMV. Over the past few months, we’ve received a ton of great music from the area. Ari Lennox dropped her debut album, Shea Butter Baby, and embarked on her own tour. Wale just dropped a new track and appears to be gearing up for a new album. Pharrell just held one of the biggest festivals of the year with a special appearance from Hip-Hop’s first billionaire, Jay-Z. Most recently, Timbaland linked up with Tee Grizzley to produce a new track for his album. Now, the attention in the area has shifted towards Goldlink.
After a two year layoff, Goldlink has dropped off a new album called Diaspora. Leading up to the release, he debuted new records like “Zulu Screams” featuring Maleek Berry and “U Say” featuring Tyler, The Creator. His latest body of work features Khalid, Pusha T, Jay Prince, Wizkid and many more. Unfortunately, there is no collaboration between him and Justine Skye, but there’s enough new material to satisfy the biggest Goldlink fan out there. Check out the full project above and be sure to check back for a possible U.S. tour announcement in the near future.
