Blakk Soul may not be your favorite artist yet, but he’s worked with all of your favorite artists. Throughout his eventful career, the singer-songwriter has tapped in with Playboi Carti, Macklemore, Dr. Dre and Anderson .Paak. More recently, he found his way into the lab with Little Brother. However, this Friday is all about his work. Under the management of Little Brother’s Big Pooh, Blakk Soul has released his latest project, Take Your Time.
The new project is bound together with a soulful sound and trap like feel. Leading up to the project’s release, he kept fans entertained with singles like “Smoke N’ Chill” and “Help” featuring Joell Ortiz.
“‘Smoke N Chill’ is a vibe I’m sure most can relate to. Sometimes a good stress reliever and some good company is all you need to take the edge off. Drew sent me the beat for this record and I was so inspired I sent the song back to him in about 20 minutes,” he said.
Along the journey, he links up with Joell Ortiz, Cocoa Sarai, and Amaal. He also gets some help from talented producers like Wyldfyre and J. LBS. Check out the work they’ve put together right above.
