Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has emerged from his darkness retreat and says a decision about his future is “coming soon”. For the second offseason in a row drama and uncertainty surrounding the franchise and multiple-time former MVP has dominated the news cycle. Last offseason the team went through this and supposedly fixed the issue after giving Rodgers the contract he wanted. After a lackluster season that resulted in the team not making the 2022-23 NFL Playoffs, this issue has once again popped up for the team. Will Rodgers return to the Packers, ask for a trade, or announce his retirement from football?

Aaron Rodgers expressed that he “found inner peace” during his darkness retreat and will announce a decision about his future soon. The star quarterback appeared on the ‘Aubrey Marcus Podcast’ this week and spoke about his time in the darkness retreat and about his upcoming decision. Last season with the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers completed 350 passes for 3,695 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions on 542 passing attempts. He also rushed the ball 34 times for 94 yards and one rushing touchdown.
When speaking on the podcast, Rodgers had the following to say about the decision: “I feel really good about the conversations that are going to be had, that have been had with important people in my life, yourself included, that helped orient me. But I’m not looking for somebody to tell me what the answer is. All the answers are right inside me, and I touched on many of them and definitely the feelings on both sides during the darkness, and I’m thankful for that time. There’s a finality to the decision, and I don’t make it lightly. I don’t want to drag anybody around. Look, I’m answering questions about it because they asked about it. I’m talking about it because it’s important to me. If you don’t like it, if you think it’s drama, you think I’m being a diva, or whatever, just tune it out. That’s fine. But this is my life, it’s important to me, and I’ll make a decision soon enough and then we’ll go down that road and be really excited about it.”
