The biggest night in Hollywood has arrived. After enduring a pandemic and several postponements, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has assembled the biggest stars in film for the 93rd Academy Awards. While most will rightfully pay attention to the award recipients, there will be stars presenting the awards as well.
Led by Steven Soderbergh, the production team behind this year’s award show has brought out the biggest stars to present Academy Awards this year. Don Cheadle, Angela Bassett, Brad Pitt, Harrison Ford and Halle Berry will present awards at this year’s ceremony. Adding to the list, Zendaya, Joaquin Phoenix, Laura Dern, Bryan Cranston, Regina King and Marlee Matin will also present awards to this year’s winners. Not to mention, Academy Award nominees Viola Davis and Riz Ahmed will present awards in categories they are not nominated in. At the last moment, the Academy also announced that Minari star Steven Yeun would also pitch in as a presenter.
“Surprise,” 93rd Academy Awards producers Jesse Collins, Steven Soderbergh and Stacey Sher said.
“We’re so excited to welcome Steven to the crew, and he completes our Oscars cast. No, really, this is it.”
The 93rd Academy Awards will take place at Union Station in Los Angeles, California. Due to travel restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will host virtual ceremonies in Paris and London.
