Just months before the COVID-19 pandemic took hold of the world, Roddy Ricch rocked the globe with the release of his debut album. From “The Box” to “Bacc Seat” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, his first studio album arrived on the top of the charts and stayed there for weeks on end. In the months that would follow, he maintained his position through feature on Pop Smoke’s debut album and collaborations with DaBaby. More than a year later, fans are begging for more.
Roddy Ricch has been pretty selective when it comes to hopping on other people’s records, but he found his way on to “4 Da Gang” with Detroit’s own, 42 Dugg. With the two at the top of their game, it would be hard for this single to miss. However, outside factors nearly disrupted the song’s rollout.
A few weeks ago, the two were reportedly filming the “4 Da Gang” music video in Atlanta when shots were fired near the video set. Luckily, neither Roddy Ricch or 42 Dugg were injured. Unfortunately, three people were reportedly hit.
With the shooting in the rearview, the duo is back to business. “4 Da Gang” has the kind of bass that you need to hear in a car with a good sound system. More importantly, it’s the kind of song that would be best enjoyed outside in nice weather. Perfect timing! Check out their new single below.
