The Baltimore Ravens were surprisingly bad in 2015 finishing the season at 5-11. After Joe Flacco tore his ACL the 2015 season was pretty much an after thought. After an offseason that was the additions of Eric Weddle, Mike Wallace, and Ben Watson where will the Ravens look to improve come draft day?
The Ravens two biggest needs are at linebacker and in the secondary. At linebacker there are some intriguing options depending on the position. For starters at inside linebacker there is UCLA’s Myles Jack who is the number one player on my board. Want to know how good Myles Jack is? The former UCLA Bruin was named Pac 12 offensive and defensive player of the year as a freshman! A pairing of Jack and C.J. Mosely could be terrifying for opposing offenses.
The outside linebacker position has three distinct possibilities in Joey Bosa, Shaq Lawson, and Leonard Floyd. Bosa is regarded by many as one of the best players in the draft but I am not personally very high on him. Bosa is more of a third round player to me and I frankly didn’t see the twitchy explosion that warrants a first round pick let alone a top ten selection. Floyd from Georgia is the player I have my eyes on who is a big time risk vs. reward candidate. Is Floyd the next Chandler Jones or Dion Jordan?
In the secondary the Ravens likely have their eyes on Jalen Ramsey. Ramsey can play corner or safety bringing a much needed sense of versatility. Vernon Hargreaves from Florida could be the other pick if Ramsey is off the board. Later in the draft look for Baltimore to also add offensive line help as well as a receiver.
