May will be a month for great television and film releases. Leading the way, Barry Jenkins is preparing to roll out his next series, Underground Railroad, on May 14. Joining Jenkins, Jeffrey Wright and Kelvin Harrison Jr. are set to star in Netflix’s Monster. Rounding out the month, Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson are preparing to roll out their latest horror film Spiral: From The Book of Saw.
“A criminal mastermind unleashes a twisted form of justice in Spiral, the terrifying new chapter from the book of Saw. Working in the shadow of his father, an esteemed police veteran, brash Detective Ezekiel ‘Zeke’ Banks and his rookie partner take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game,” Lionsgate writes about the film.
With every great film comes a great soundtrack and Spiral: From The Book of Saw is no different. This week, Lionsgate delivered the lead single from the soundtrack, “Spiral” by 21 Savage.
