
In ten days, thousands will descend upon the city of Los Angeles, California for the 2023 BET Awards. Last week, the network unveiled this year’s slate of award nominations. Drake and GloRilla lead the way with seven nominations each. This week, the network shared the slate of performers set to take the stage at this year’s award show.
The 2023 BET Awards will celebrate Hip-Hop’s 50th anniversary with a collective performance from an accomplished group of MCs, including E-40, Big Daddy Kane, Kid ‘N Play, MC Lyte, Percy “Master P” Miller, Warren G, Fat Joe, Ja Rule, Uncle Luke, Remy Ma, The Sugarhill Gang, Warren G and the Ying Yang Twins. Contemporary acts like Soulja Boy, Chief Keef and others will also join in on the celebratory performance.
Beyond this year’s celebration of Hip-Hop’s 50th anniversary, GloRilla, Doechii, Coco Jones and Lil’ Uzi Vert are also set to perform at the 2023 BET Awards.
“We have an incredible lineup of performers who will take us on a musical journey, covering hip-hop spanning every decade, style, and region,” Connie Orlando of BET said.
“From music to dance and fashion, we are digging through every crate as we celebrate 50 years of hip-hop and its diversity, evolution, and global impact.”
The 2023 BET Awards are set to air on BET on June 25, 2023.
