ORIGINAL: The Broccoli City Festival is coming back to Washington, D.C. this spring. This morning, the festival revealed its two-day lineup that will kick off on May 7, 2022 and come to a close on May 8, 2022. Day one will feature 21 Savage, Ari Lennox, Lil’ Durk, Wale, Rico Nasty, Jeezy, Larry June, Joyce Wrice and Muni Long. Day two will highlight the work of Summer Walker, Wizkid, Gunna, Don Toliver, Tems, Masego, Babyface Ray, Alex Vaughn and Joony. Not to mention, Rodney Rikai, Gia Peppers and Little Bacon Bear will host as Malcolm Xavier, DJ Domo and Jae Murphy serve as the in-house DJs.
The road to this year’s festival has not been easy. Over the last two years, the festival has suffered through a number of postponements and cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Fortunately, patience and preparation prevailed, allowing for this year’s event with a number of top acts. 21 Savage is in the midst of a show stopping feature run, Gunna has just delivered his most successful project and there is a chance that Wizkid and Tems could perform “Essence” together on stage.
Tickets for the Broccoli City Festival are currently on sale. Check out the event’s official website and social channels for any pertinent information.
