
Viacom CBS has revealed the slate of performers for the 2021 BET Awards. With more than a dozen performers, the award show will feature more performances than it ever has in its 21-year history. H.E.R, Lil’ Baby, Roddy Ricch, City Girls, Jazmine Sullivan and Tyler, The Creator will take the stage in Los Angeles, California this weekend. Also, Moneybagg Yo, Lil’ Durk, Kirk Franklin, DJ Khaled and several others will perform.
Actress Taraji P. Henson will host the show for another year. Joining Henson, Queen Latifah will take home the ceremony’s lifetime achievement award. As for the night’s awards, Megan Thee Stallion and DaBaby lead the field with seven nominations each. Right behind Megan Thee Stallion and DaBaby, Drake and Cardi B each have five nominations.
“As we return live with culture’s biggest night, this year’s show marks many firsts — including the highest number of performers in 21 years of BET Awards; and viewers can expect several surprise moments,” Connie Orlando of BET said.
“Some of today’s hottest talent will join us for our return to L.A. for an unforgettable night celebrating Black excellence.”
The 2021 BET Awards are set to take place on June 27, 2021 in the Microsoft Theater at 8 p.m. ET.
