Minnesota Timberwolves guard Zach LaVine is quickly turning into one of the most exciting young players in this league. He absolutely destroyed the dunk contest this previous all star weekend, some people even say he brought the dunk contest back to relevancy after is becoming weaker in the past few years. What people need to realize now is that, LaVine is more than just a skywalker that can throw down a couple pretty dunks every now and then. The dude can straight up ball.
LaVine put on a show last night at the annual Seattle Pro-Am hosted by Washington native Jamal Crawford. It’s always a special and exciting event for the city every year. Crawford has explained it helps Seattle overcome not having a pro basketball team to root for. JCross was specifically most excited about LaVine playing in the Pro-Am and he let all of twitter know about it.
Pro am doors just opened! Zach Lavine will be playing today, get there soon!!!!! RT RT #Seattle

Well, Crawford ended up being right about LaVine as he snapped, putting up a gaudy 49 points and nailing the tough buzzer beating game winner below.
The bouncy combo guard did take his fair share of shots as he went 14-31 from the field and 8-19 from downtown and 13-14 from the charity stripe. Even though it was an exhibition game, Wolves fans have to be pleased with what seems to be improved confidence stroke this summer. Of course we can’t have an article on LaVine without showing you one of his dunks so enjoy the video below showcasing the dunk of the night at the Pro-Am.
LaVine is a key cog in the Minnesota “rebirth” after the Kevin Love days. He, Rookie of the Year Andrew Wiggins, and first overall selection Karl Anthony-Towns, look to form a solid young core for years to come.
