Galifianakis is a comedic actor best known for his roles in The Hangout franchise. More recently, he has landed voice acting roles in The Bob’s Burgers Movie, The Lego Batman Movie and The Missing Link. Now, his work will take him back to a Disney classic.
Released by Walt Disney Studios in 2022, Lilo & Stitch is a family-friendly story about a young girl named Lilo and her bond with an alien-like dog named Stitch. As Lilo builds a bond with her new friend, social workers and those looking to take the alien-like dog for themselves attempt to break the two apart.
Directed and written by Chris Sanders, the film featured Daveigh Chase, Tia Carrere, Ving Rhames, David Ogden Stiers and Kevin McDonald. The film earned nearly $275 million at the box office globally. Sitting behind Ice Age, it was the second-highest-grossing animated film of 2002.
Twenty years after the original landed in theaters, the live-action remake is making its way to Hollywood.
