
Washington Wizards’ owner Ted Leonsis told Washington Post’s Candace Buckner that the team will never tank and that he is holding the team to the standard of making the playoffs.

Leonsis also told Buckner that Bradley Beal reached out to him and said the Wizards ‘have enough’ to make the playoffs this season. Wizards max contract star John Wall went down with a season-ending injury at the end of the 2018 calendar year.

After the comments were made, the Wizards went on to defeat the New York Knicks in the NBA’s first London of the season in which the team won off a goaltend from Knicks’ guard Allonzo Trier.

The Wizards are currently the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 19-26 record on the year.
