Wiz Khalifa and Ari Lennox are listed among performers listed for Weedmaps virtual 4/20 celebration.
As the coronavirus pandemic continues to drive new, innovative ways to bring experiences into the digital world, Weedmaps announces their 4/20 virtual celebration. The company, a leading technology and software provider to the cannabis industry hopes to provide a one-of-a-kind experience for people who participate in the special day for weed smokers.
“4/20 has not only become a celebration for cannabis enthusiasts around the world, but culturally, it has also served as a reminder for how far we’ve come since the days of prohibition and the continued work that is ahead. We’re excited to partner with some of the best in music and entertainment to celebrate the plant and the culture with our community,” says Juanjo Feijoo, the Chief Marketing Officer of Weedmaps in an online statement.
Wiz Khalifa, Billy Ray Cyrus, Ari Lennox, Dave East, Cam’ron, Alchemist, and more of Hollywood top talents come together to produce “Higher Together: Sessions from Home,” what Weedmaps labels as the world’s biggest 4/20 virtual celebration. Comedians, entertainers, and more will make appearances, perform exclusive sets from their homes, and debut new music throughout the streaming session.
Wiz Khalifa will perform a 20-minute DJ set featuring a selection of his favorite smoking songs, while interacting with fans and celebrating the release of his The Saga of Wiz Khalifa EP due April 20, lead by his single “Contact” featuring Tyga.
“Super excited to hang with the Weedmaps smokers all over the world. I’m even more pumped to be able to share a new project on a holiday everyone loves,” says Wiz Khalifa in an online statement.
The digital event takes place Monday, April 20th, from 12 p.m. (PDT) to 5 p.m.
