The group NWA emerges from the streets of Compton, California in the mid-1980s and revolutionizes pop culture with their music and tales about life in the hood.
As opposed to the first official red band trailer for ‘Straight Outta Compton’, this new theatrical trailer gives us a more in-depth look into the film of the worlds most dangerous rap group, N.W.A.
At first when I heard about the bio pic of NWA being made I wondered how would this work, but then again after realizing how much of an impact Ice Cube, Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, MC Ren & DJ Yella had, I think this story is worth being told.
Contrary to what I believe, during an interview Dr. Dre was against making this film at first due to the fact he didn’t want to blemish the name of N.W.A.
As you may also notice in the trailer, Suge Knight is being portrayed in the movie by R. Marcos Taylor. This shall be interesting to see how the relationship between Suge and Eazy gets played out on the big screen.
‘Straight Outta Compton’ is in theaters this August 14, 2015.
