I’m not much of a fan of re-booting classic movie franchises like ‘Tomb Raider‘ (especially with the fact that video-game adaptations haven’t been the greatest recently), but Warner Brothers might just be able to change that this year. Along with re-booting the video game series, ‘Lara Croft’ will be returning to the big screen. No, Angelina Jolie will not be returning to reprise her role but instead we get a new take on the female heroine. Alicia Vikander brings on her own adaptation of the ‘Tomb Raider’ in this new trailer:
This isn’t the only video-game movie Warner Brothers will be unleashing this year. Along with Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider, Warner will also be releasing ‘Ready Player One‘ & ‘Rampage‘ all of which are loosely based on video games. It will be go big or go home for these franchises, especially with the way that video game movies have flopped over the past couple years. This movie is set to release in March 16th 2018 so if you’re a fan of the video game franchise, you might want to mark that down on your calendar.
