Virginia guard and reigning national champion Ty Jerome has declared for the 2019 NBA Draft and will forgo his final year of college eligibility. The junior guard was a vital piece for the Cavaliers in their championship run. He is projected to go either late in the first round or early in the second round of the draft.
The guard provides excellent height for the NBA checking in at 6’5″ and weighing in around 195 pounds. He improved each year with the Cavaliers and in his junior season averaged 13.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game.
His draft stock may largely depend on how he performs at the NBA combine and in individual team workouts. He could sneak his way into the first round or hold steady as one of the top picks of the second round. He leaves the Cavaliers improved and a national champion.
