Through his impressive Summer League run, Scott Machado has been mainly a get to the rim point guard while also being able to dish out a ton of assists. He hasn’t shown too much shooting range although he has the skill to do so on a regular basis.
With the game tied 2-2 at the beginning of the Wizards blowout loss to New Orleans, Machado took a dribble backwards towards the 3-point line and ended up making the shot. Afterwards, New Orleans went on a 10-0 run while beginning to show Washington just how talented they were.

To secure a few invites to training camps around the league, Machado has to put on one last great performance when the Wizards take on Denver in a consolation game. He will be taking on Emmanual Mudiay and the Nuggets, so this game could show he can square off against and out perform on of the top picks in this year’s NBA Draft.
If Machado is able to show he can put on a show offense and defend somebody as quick as Mudiay, it is almost a guarantee that he will be getting some phone calls from NBA executives.
