Reggie Jackson has been making some great things happen in his time with the Detroit Pistons. The problem is, Detroit has not gotten the wins during Jackson’s time with the team. Jackson has held his own on though since the Pistons dealt for him on trade deadline day. His big showcase with the Pistons was an awesome 20 point, 20 assist game which also happened to be the second time a Detroit point guard had those numbers this season.
Jackson and the Pistons were going up against their division rival Chicago Bulls tonight. He had the ball in his hands towards the end of the shot clock in the third quarter with about 7:30 to go in the quarter. Jackson was getting played pretty tight by Bulls big man Joakim Noah who wasn’t giving him any space but then, Jackson got a bright idea.
A players instinct is to just throw anything up when the shot clock is about to expire and Jackson did just that. Now he didn’t put up a ridiculous contested shot, he went under Noah’s arms and threw an underhanded scoop shot towards the rim and boom, it went right in.
Count it!
