Marc Gasol got very frustrated Monday night in a game between the Sacramento Kings and the Memphis Grizzlies. Gasol shot a typical a mid-range jumper, which he is known to make very often. The big man missed the shot and was a little upset with himself.
He was so upset that he decided to take his frustration out during the beginning stages of the game. No, not on a player or one of his coaches but instead, his jersey.
He decided to do his best Hulk Hogan impression (or Josh McRoberts from earlier this year) and just rip his jersey. Gasol must have been tuned into Wrestlemania 31 last night and remembered his time as a youth in Spain and Memphis watching the hulkster rip his shirts right from the top.
Gasol was obviously frustrated but come on Marc. It’s just one jumpshot. Luckily for him, the Grizzlies employ the ‘best equipment manager in the NBA’, according to the Grizzlies announcing team and Gasol was able to get a brand new jersey right away. Hopefully free of charge and with reinforced stitching this time.
